A fun storytelling game that we have had for years now, made me do a double-take recently. This stack of cards from eeBoo is intended to provide inspiration for your child to make up a creative story. Choose a few cards, or just one, and let a story flow. They are often the best stories! Here is a random handful from the deck. You can see the possibilities for weaving tales. Have a look at these cards that I never really noticed before. Spools of thread, and even a bear mending something in his favorite armchair. I love these sweet pictures! The next one is my favorite. I wonder if my children will let me "borrow" her to hang in my studio. Do I see more sewing references as I delve more deeply into this little business of mine? Were they always there? Or are we seeing a stronger move towards handmade, natural materials, and old fashioned skills? Whatever it is, I smile every time I see buttons or thread in otherwise non-sewing situations.
